Participant praise for Healthy Mama, Happy Baby
“I joined the program just days after finding out I was pregnant. My doctor had warned me it would be hard for me to conceive, so the news of my pregnancy shocked me. I felt lost, scared, unprepared and completely clueless about pregnancy. Through the private Facebook group, Stephanie has been an amazing help and encouragement to me. That alone is worth the price of the program.
The Whole30 has already changed our lives. We have a much better understanding of how our bodies relate to the food we eat. We now have privilege of gaining the same type of knowledge about the development of our baby. It is invaluable to have the knowledge and support of a registered dietitian who believes in whole food nutrition during this experience. We can’t thank Stephanie and the Whole30 crew enough for creating this awesome program.”
“I’m really enjoying making my way through the HMHB handbook online. It’s so nice to have reliable research and summaries in one spot that address many of the grey areas of pregnancy. I just confidently ordered up a round of supplements and prenatals that will get me primed and ready for my IVF transfer in a month or so.”
“I love the Healthy Mama, Happy Baby program. I want to start trying to get pregnant in the fall, so I have plenty of time to prepare my body and mind and to learn as much as I can. My fiancé and I watch the videos in bed at night and discuss the materials. The program has great information and I love that there is no criticism and no fear mongering.”
“I’m glad I purchased Healthy Mama, Healthy Baby program, despite the fact that I was nearly in my 3rd trimester when the program began. There are great tools available, ranging from videos to grocery lists to registry recommendations. The Facebook support group is a great place to connect with other mamas. It is a place where I feel safe and comfortable sharing about my lifestyle choices and preferences. Hopefully you will agree when you join us!”
I have gained so much knowledge through HMHB about the foods I should be eating in preparation for pregnancy (and during, when the time comes). I have learned about general healthy practices during preconception and pregnancy– from vitamins and supplements to the potential dangers of the things we put on our bodies. I feel that I am armed with incredible information and resources for the pregnancy itself, such as morning sickness remedies and natural pain solutions. At least once a day my husband hears “Well, Stephanie says…” or “in my HMHB group I learned…”
“Just wanted to give a shout out to Steph — the ultimate rockstar mama who is strong enough to boldly let us see her vulnerabilities in order for us to feel capable, supported and part of this amazing community! My baby isn’t born yet but this group has helped me calm my nerves, learn to be patient, prepare for when the baby comes (if that’s actually possible). I know how important a community of like-situated and like-minded women can be and how easy it is to hide from the world, thinking you’re the only one that’s overwhelmed, alone and that you can’t do it all. Thank you SO incredibly much for creating your pot of golden resources for us, for actively answering all of our questions and also for celebrating all triumphs and trials for all of us beautiful mamas and mamas to be!”
